The Mooring Restaurant has been a fixture in the Northern Neck since 1965. We respect that tradition and are looking to build on it. Our dockside views of the Yeocomico River paired with delicious seafood dishes create a wonderful dinning experience for its guests.

In September 2005, Charlie Santangelo, who is now one of the owners of Port Kinsale Marina LLC took over the Restaurant. Charlie has 32 years of restaurant experience. His objective is to bring the restaurant up to a level of service, high quality food and consistency which it has lacked in recent years. We believe he is nearly there but you will be the judge.

The Mooring is unique in that it offers several different experiences:

• The Mooring itself is a glass enclosed restaurant with an incredible view built around the "Sand Bar" which is in itself famous. The main room is a casual setting for relaxation and pure fun.
• Adjacent to the Mooring is the Virginia W. Room which is named after the 100 year old skipjack which is berthed at Port Kinsale. The Virginia W. Room offers an upscale dining experience with white tablecloths and an elegant nautical ambience.
• The Country Porch wraps around the outside of the Mooring and is the non-smoking part of the restaurant. On Sundays it becomes the buffet and omelet station for Charlie's famous brunch which runs from 9:00 to 3:00 year around.
• The "Lucky Lady" deck was completed just this year we've greatly expanded our alfresco dining to 40 seats. More importantly, Charlie brought the "Lucky Lady," a solid mahogany Henry Luhrs boat, up the hill from our boatyard where she spent the winter being restored. She's now docked at the top of the deck with piers around her hull. Her deck is co-incidentally exactly the right height for a bar - so we've surrounded her with barstools and built a bar inside her. When the season starts we'll have a barbecue grill and a crab steamer next to the "Lucky Lady". We can't imagine why it won't be a ton of fun. We'll see you there! If you know a lucky lady, bring her!
