Approaching The Skipjack Inn, it is easy to imagine a waterman mooring his skipjack before making his way to the white-washed farmhouse for a well deserved rest. Today, this 1912 waterfront home has been extensively renovated with your enjoyment in mind.
The Skipjack Inn is located on a secluded point overlooking the scenic Yeocomico River at Port Kinsale Marina & Resort. At The Skipjack Inn, you can enjoy the character and charm of a turn-of-the-century waterman’s home without sacrificing comfort.
Four guest rooms have been tastefully decorated with antiques and Chesapeake Bay maritime artwork. Three of the four guest rooms are named for an historic skipjack, a sail boat used by watermen for oyster dredging in the Chesapeake Bay, Yeocomico and Potomac Rivers.
Each guest room at the Skipjack Inn has its own private bath, and individual temperature control for the optimum comfort of our guests. All of our rooms feature luxury linens including our four hundred thread count one hundred percent cotton sateen sheets, thick spa towels, and cozy guest robes. For added convenience, all rooms are equipped with hair-dryers and clock radios. A guest kitchenette is available on the main floor of the Inn.
Relaxing water views of the Yeocomico River make the Skipjack Inn a pleasant retreat at the end of the day. Rod Porter, who is one of our owners, adores watching the sun set from the porch of the Skipjack Inn with a glass of white wine. We suspect you will too.

The Virginia W. Room
The Virginia W. Room is The Skipjack Inn’s finest room, boasting of spectacular panoramic views of the Yeocomico River. Decorated in soft greens and pastels, it features a sitting area, queen-sized antique iron bed and has a private bath.
The Wilma Lee Room
Soft blue walls, solid oak rockers and a patchwork quilt give the Wilma Lee Room the freshness of a morning breeze. This spacious room features a queen-size antique iron bed and has a private bath.
The H. M. Krentz Room
The H. M. Krentz Room is a warm, cozy room with charming twin beds covered by colorful, puffed-square quilts. A pair of white wicker rockers next to the window provides the perfect place to sit and enjoy the quiet surroundings. This room has a private bath.
The S. S. Georgia Room
Located on the first floor, our newest guest room is tastefully decorated in a Mediterranean theme with your comfort in mind. This spacious room also has a private bath and a private entrance.
BREAKFAST/BRUNCH
The Skipjack Inn’s continental breakfast is a delicious assortment of pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, coffee and juice. It is available to guests from 8:30 a.m. each morning except Saturday and Sunday. As our guest, you may enjoy your breakfast in our sunny front parlor. Or, if you prefer, you may venture out to our front porch to take full advantage of the spectacular view of the Yeocomico River.
On Sunday mornings, the continental breakfast is not served. Instead, you are invited to come down to the Mooring Restaurant on Sunday for the Mooring's incredible brunch which is served from 9:00 to 2:00. The brunch includes absolutely everything. We love the omelette's prepared to your specifications and the Prime Rib. The Sunday brunch is included in your room rate.
AMENITIES
During your stay at the Skipjack Inn, be sure to take advantage of the amenities at Port Kinsale Marina & Resort. Port Kinsale is a great place for boating, fishing and relaxation. Its facilities include a full-service marina, a pier, swimming pool, and a picnic area. You may also enjoy 50 wooded acres to explore. Golf carts are available for rent at Port Kinsale Marina & Resort's Ship's Store.
The Mooring Restaurant is within walking distance, or a short drive, from the Skipjack Inn. You can dine inside or outside on a huge deck overlooking the Marina and the Yeocomico River.

THE SKIPJACK INN'S POLICIES
Deposits and Cancellations
A Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Discover card is required when making reservations at the Inn. Upon your arrival, payment may be made by cash, check, Travelers Cheques or by credit card.
Cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the arrival date will be subject to full charges for one night’s lodging.
Check-In / Check-Out
Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. or later. Please let us know your approximate time of arrival in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Check-out is at 11:00 a.m.
Smoking
To ensure the comfort of all our guests, there is no smoking allowed inside the Inn. Smoking is allowed on The Inn’s porches.
Security & Valuables
Each room has a deadbolt lock for your security. We ask that you keep your valuables in a safe place as we can not be responsible for loss.
Beach Towels
Beach towels are available for purchase at the Ship’s Store. We respectfully request that all bath towels and linens remain in the room during your stay.
